OUR LADY OF THE YOYO

Nondream climatological mysticism--digital on acrylic on crayon on ink on whatsit, 1983?, by Chris Wayan

The Goddess, in one of her more-or-less human forms, plays with the World-Yoyo, trying to keep it spinning as long as possible on each bounce.

Of course we call them geological eras. Let's hope she keeps this one spinning a bit longer, before she takes another ice cream break...

The goddess plays with the yoyo of our world, trying to keep it spinning...
... since that last one got pretty cold here on the ground. We do tend to forget, we ephemeral creatures worrying about the next toasty century, that this is an interglacial.
