SPORE FOREST
1998. Small acrylic watercolor of daydream, by Chris Wayan.
Not a dream, just a daydream image I liked and painted.
I was a horse, as I often am in my dreams, and I wandered, grazing, through a forest of huge blue moss, sending up spore-packets on great treelike shoots... Blue bubbles, spores, floated on the breeze like balloons. Was I the size of a gnat, or was I on a planet where mosses stayed the dominant life-form? I didn't know.
