Some people are dogs, dominating those below them, fawning on those above. The religious dog, the fundamendalist, the fanatic... they worship Mystery. But what if the Man they worship as a Prophet, as a Great and Powerful Wizard, is, like Oz... a Humbug?

Or a Hatrack.

Meanwhile, on the horizon, a mesa... where a lean coyote, not fawning on any Man or Son of Man, howls at her only god: the wayward moon of intuition, waxing and waning, who's never asked us for worship--not a single song.
