In my life-drawing class at San Jose City College in 1989, one model, Shasé, loved to make the sessions into a dramatic art, with props and parasols and weird poses, the sillier the better. Many beginning artists are uncomfortable with nudity (I was), so life-drawing classes can be rather solemn places. Shasé had fun, so we relaxed and did too.
