IS A SUN

1992/2/20, digital picture by Chris Wayan, poem by Emily Dickinson

Just illustrating a poem by Emily Dickinson on depression, which I suffer from when my neuroallergies get severe.

I'd like to do a series of Dickinson poems illustrated like this--simple, woodcutty.

Two panels: you're walking, head bowed, in a rainstorm; then the sun bursts like a gold flower and little animals come out to play. An Emily Dickinson poem: 'Time does go on. I tell it gay to those who suffer now. They shall survive--there is a sun. They don't believe it now.'
Time does go on.
I tell it gay
to those who suffer now.
They shall survive--
there is a sun--
They don't believe it--now.
