LUNAR REPUBLIC BORDERGUARD
Dream sculpture, 1996, raw clay sealed in white acrylic, 9" tall, by Chris Wayan
I dreamed I lived on the moon, half of which was independent, half still occupied by Earth.
One day, a lot of huge, semi-abstract figures carved in something like beeswax appeared on the border...eerie, but rather beautiful.
Looks like the Earth forces weren't as obsessed with conquest as we thought. They're into art now.
Time to demilitarize! Can I get over my fortress mentality?
