Owl Tavern

Dreamed before 1994/11/2 by Dan O'Neill

4-panel comic by Dan O'Neill; he dreams of a bar dispute between old TV-show stars Flipper, Howdy Doody, Beany and Cecil, Kukla and Oliver Dragon

EDITOR'S NOTE

No, I don't know if Dan really dreamed it, but I couldn't resist. O'Neill's comic strip Odd Bodkins is perhaps the best of the sixties undergrounds (and the only one published, however fitfully, in major newspapers). The Collective Unconscience of Odd Bodkins collects the published strips, while Hear the Sound of my Feet Walking, Drown the Sound of my Voice Talking is a stand-alone graphic novel; same characters, new material. Both are highly recommended.
