Owl Tavern

Dreamed before 1994/11/2 by Dan O'Neill

4-panel comic by Dan O'Neill; he dreams of a bar dispute between old TV-show stars Flipper, Howdy Doody, Beany and Cecil, Kukla and Oliver Dragon

No, I don't know if Dan really dreamed it, but I couldn't resist. O'Neill's comic strip Odd Bodkins is perhaps the best of the sixties underground (and the only one published, however fitfully, in major newspapers); The Collective Unconscience of Odd Bodkins collects the strips, while Hear the Sound of my Feet Walking, Drown the Sound of my Voice Talking is a stand-alone graphic novel; same characters, new material. Both are highly recommended.
