Lost memories seem to wander into the backyards of
my past. Overgrown private paradises invite me into
a labyrinth of lavishness. Before daylight fades,
I must climb out of these mazes of green confusion.
The sun is setting. l want one last youthful thrill as
I leap into someone else's backyard pool.
Momentary joy is mine before night descends.
Nothing is more wonderful than the cool crystal
bottom of a blue pool.
