Eddy Dropped

Dreamed well before 1961 by Frances's sister, reported to the Rhine Institute

I hope my little story can help you in some way to come a little closer to the reason and truth about such strange occurrences. I do not mind having my experience used in this way. It is certainly nothing to be ashamed of!

My first [ESP] experience was a dream when I was seventeen. My sister, Frances, nineteen, was married to a wonderful, talented musician. They were very much in love and happy together.

One night I had a dream that was so real I remembered every single detail of it. I dreamed that my brother-in-law, Eddy, was out hunting with a young boy who was faceless in my dream. All of a sudden Eddy dropped from a discharge from the boy's shotgun. He had climbed through a fence and didn't have the safety on. The pellets hit Eddy in the hip and he bled to death before they could get him to a doctor.

Then in my dream I thought I was asleep and that my mother's screaming awakened me. I ran down the hall to the kitchen and my mother came through the living room and dining room and we met in the doorway. At the same time another woman, also faceless in my dream, got there. Mother had a telegram in her hand, telling of the tragedy.

The whole thing bothered me so I wrote to my sister and told her about it. They got my letter on Saturday and laughed about it. But Monday morning Eddy was killed just as in my dream.

The telegram arrived just as I had seen it, and my mother had a friend visiting, and she was in the kitchen. We all met in the two doorways leading to the kitchen.

EDITOR'S NOTES

Frances's sister earns points for the courage to look like a fool: she did warn them. It's not her fault Eddy didn't watch out. At least not enough.
