I Got Out
Dreamed 1992/1/4 by Chris Wayan
This dream-comic tells of my strange escape from an abuser with psychic powers; I later learned the dream was itself psychic! Its general plot had really happened to my friend Cory, who'd been keeping it secret. Until I told her my dream...
I drew this directly with a mouse back in the Early Bronze Age of computer graphics, when pages this big pushed the limit on my... Amiga! So I used just eight colors to save on RAM and minimize crashing. I made each page a seven-tint sepiatone plus one contrasting spot color for accents, and changed that palette with each new page. Necessity is the mother of invention.
Though the necessity of my mother was roadkill.
