SILKY AT THE MIKE

Dreamed 1983/12/24; ink, 14x17", by Chris Wayan

I dreamed I was in a mixed-race family, and my sister took after the horse side. No hands, but wow could she sing!...

She moved to San Francisco and sang in clubs and open mikes...

She was a lot happier than in Idaho, except, as she complained to me when I visited, "where the hell does a mare go to get a date in this town?"

My sister the horse as a lounge singer.
