Music and Musicians
Music is as powerful, in dreams, as any verbal spells or incantations. So if you dream you're trapped, in a tight corner, even a nightmare, I can't think of a more powerful thing to do than start singing. You don't need talent, or confidence, or a band. Just say what you feel and fit some notes to it.
You may be shocked. If your heart's in it, it'll be every bit as powerful as a fifteen-thousand-year-old shamanic incantation. Make the monsters friends. Calm that sea and turn those sharks to koi. Bring back the sun. You can do it. Really.
And if not, you gave it your all. And that's what a lot of my dreams want.
Oh--there's now a subset of this list with listenable dream songs. They're here too, just mixed in with other musical dreams.
