MOUNTAINS AND CLIFFS
I know why. I was raised in California and the only reliable water in the long dry summer is snowmelt--or perennial streams coming from upland forests. Here, as in many other climate zones, flats can mean death, and mountains, life.
Still, there are other patterns among these dreams. Thin mountain air can have surprisingly dense symbolism, as in our first dream, AIR OASIS. And MY VIEWPOINT is an example of another common type--a high place as a point in life where an overview or a look back is possible. Or ahead. Sometimes very far ahead indeed.
