Bike dreams

Bicycles are my main mode of transport, so they appear in my dreams a lot, as a symbol of independence (they only seat one comfortably, but they never need fueling) and as an alternative to those giant stinky steel things wrecking the world.

Besides, human-powered vehicles are more fun than gas-powered ones. Ask any skateboarder. On a stick, or skates, or a bike, it's just you and Gaia--gravity, friction, and effort! No fuel cushions you. When you zoom, you earned the rush, and somehow your body knows it.

RELATED TOPICS: cars, trucks, busses - trains and trolleys - ecology - climate change - politics - See also the full INDEX OF SUBJECTS.
